Pro-life Congresswoman Lauren Boebert blasted “blatantly false” and “disgusting” accusations Wednesday by a leftist political group that she aborted two unborn babies and once worked as an escort.

The Colorado Republican said she plans to take legal action against the American Muckrakers PAC, The Pueblo Chieftain reports.

“Partisan organizations putting out blatantly false and disgusting accusations won’t stop me from advancing freedom and conservative values,” she said in a statement to The Washington Times. “This group’s vile conduct demonstrates why people are fed up with politics. I am not going to stand by and pretend this is normal behavior.”

A letter from her lawyers this week warned American Muckrakers that they may sue for defamation, according to the reports.

On Tuesday, the leftist PAC published a press release accusing Boebert of “unbelievable hypocrisy” and claiming it has evidence that she had two abortions as a young woman. The group also accused her of being “an unlicensed, paid escort.”

It claimed she had one abortion when she was 18 in 2004 or 2005 and another in 2009 at a Planned Parenthood in Glenwood Springs because of “work with a SugarDaddyMeet.com client.”

The leftist group said it received the information from an anonymous but reliable source.

The pro-life congresswoman quickly refuted to the accusations, calling them false and “fake news” in a post on Twitter.

In response, an American Muckrakers account on Twitter told Boebert, “If it’s fake news, then sue us.”

It appears Boebert plans to do just that. In a letter from her attorneys to the political group, they slammed the accusations as “patently false” and warned the group that it made a “costly miscalculation,” according to Mediaite.

“We have irrefutable evidence that each one of these statements is patently false. You knew this though,” the letter states. “Muckrakers published these outlandish statements knowing they were fabricated but you likely operated under the inaccurate assumption that publishing false statements against a public figure would not create legal liability.”

However, Muckrakers president David B. Wheeler said they “stand by” the accusations.

Wheeler’s group published the accusations just two weeks before the Colorado primary where Boebert is running for re-election against primary challenger Don Coram, a state senator.

Boebert has a 100-percent pro-life voting record in Congress, according to the National Right to Life Committee.
