WASHINGTON, DC- This was as bad as 9/11!  Worse than Pearl Harbor! The greatest threat to our democracy since the Civil War! As bad as the Holocaust even!

These were the talking points spewed by far-left Democrats and their media mouthpieces this week as the one-year “anniversary” of “The Great [non] Insurrection of 2021” came about.

One might think that this was the first time in the history of our nation that protesters had broken into a government building or otherwise attacked our government apparatus.

The Federalist outlined at least eight times left-wing protesters broke into government buildings. There are actually some more.

A few of those incidents actually occurred not so far back in history…in fact, one took place AFTER the “great insurrection.”

Let’s wind the way-back machine all the way back to October 14, 2021, when far-left climate activists breached the Interior Department in Washington, DC.

The incident, which closely resembled in part the January 6 Capitol siege was referred to as a “sit-in” by left-wing outlets such as The Hill.

The building was vandalized, activists attempted to assault officers as those left outside were attempting to enter the building, and the incident resulted in a number of injuries, including a police officer being transported to the hospital.

Democrats and the lamestream media claim that our very Democracy was threatened on January 6, however a case where it was legitimately threatened is ignored by Democrats and the media.

In fact, they laugh off the fact that a sitting president, Donald Trump, and his family were forced to secure themselves in a secure bunker as far-left lunatics attempted to breach the White House.

Trump was accused by radical leftists as “hiding” in the bunker.

This of course refers to an incident in May 2020, when a large group of protesters assaulted a number of Secret Service agents and police officers in an attempt to breach the exterior fence of the White House after making their way through temporary barricades set up around the White House.

The Sun reported that over 50 U.S. Secret Service agents were injured, some seriously in the attack. Four people were arrested and charged with unlawfully entering the property.

In 2011, thousands of people breached the state capitol in Madison, Wisconsin and refused to leave, protesting then-Gov. Scott Walker’s budget repair bill. The siege lasted for 17 days, the longest such incursion in U.S. history.

At the time, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) praised the storming of Wisconsin’s Capitol building as “an impressive show of democracy in action,” Fox News reported. Apparently “impressive show[s] of democracy in action” only count when it’s leftists doing the incursion.

During the “summer of love,” as former Seattle mayor Jenny Durkan referred it, armed Antifa thugs conducted a series of nightly attacks on the Mark. O. Hatfield U.S. federal court building in Portland, Oregon.

In July 2020, Antifa thugs started setting fires inside a perimeter fence, launched projectiles over it, and tried to take it down.

Some people were able to breach the perimeter and launched professional-grade fireworks at federal law enforcement officers who responded. Some attempted to light the building on fire with federal officers inside.

The next month, the courthouse was forced to shut down completely after being subjected to domestic terrorist threats, with concerns someone might actually drive a vehicle filled with explosives into the building.

In March 2021, after a security fence was removed, rioters again broke glass and started fires. But remember, as Joe Biden said, Antifa “is an idea.”

Back in 2013, pro-abortion lunatics occupied  the state Capitol building in Austin, Texas, disrupting the democratic process, screaming loudly, “grinding the Senate to a halt.”

In October 2018, after confirmation hearings for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh put him on the high court, far-left rioters busted past police lines outside the Supreme Court, where they climbed the steps and were beating on the front doors in an attempt gain entry to the building.

Then Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ), who before the vote had announced he would vote to confirm Kavanaugh, was confronted in an elevator by several women, who screamed in his face and wouldn’t allow him to move.

Prior to the Senate vote to confirm Kavanaugh, an unhinged mob of protesters occupied part of the Hart Senate Office Building, which is part of the U.S. Capitol complex, with some managing to gain entry to the Senate gallery during the vote.

One of the most egregious actual insurrectionist activities that occurred at the U.S. Capitol building occurred in 1983, when two left-wing extremists—Linda Evans and Susan Rosenberg, along with five others planted a bomb inside the US Capitol, which later detonated and caused over $1 million in damage.

So egregious was this incident to Democrats that on his last day in office in 2001, then-President Bill Clinton commuted the sentences of both anarchists, pushed into doing so by Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY). As it was written:

According to the New York Post in 2001, New York Democratic Rep. Jerry Nadler, who today serves as the House Judiciary Committee chairman, played a ‘crucial role’ in Clinton’s decision to commute Rosenberg’s sentence. Nadler’s rabbi, a Nadler spokesman at the time told the Post, gave ‘compelling information from [Rosenberg’s] parole hearing’ to the Manhattan congressman, who in turn, passed on the material to the White House counsel’s office. That transfer, the Post reported, played a ‘key role’ in the president’s decision to include Rosenberg in his list of 140 last-minute pardons just moments before George W. Bush took the White House.

Both women avoided serving a majority of their prison sentences, serving only 16 years, with Rosenberg avoiding 42 years of a 58-year sentence.

And what did Nadler say about the January 6 “insurrection?”

“On January 6, insurgents stormed the Capitol Building in what appears to be a pre-planned organized assault on our government, seeking to overturn the votes of their fellow Americans and believing the lie told to them by President Trump and his followers,” Nadler said during a Department of Justice Oversight Hearing last year.

Guess a “pre-planned organized assault on our government” is only a big deal when it isn’t leftists doing the assaulting.

Another incident conveniently ignored by Democrats is one that occurred on March 1, 1954, when four Puerto Rican Nationalist Party entered the visitor’s gallery above the House floor.

The three men and one woman initially took their seats in the gallery.

However at around 2:30 p.m., they started to fire upon House members as they unfurled a Puerto Rican flag. Five congressmen were wounded in the shooting.

Pelosi and the Democrats apparently have a short memory because in 2019, the 65th anniversary of the attack, there was a commemorative produced to remember the incident, a true assault on our democracy.

Finally, let us not forget another breach of the Senate chamber that occurred when old Sleepy Joe himself was 21-years-old.

Now anything Biden says has to be taken with a large grain of salt, due to his propensity to make stuff up (see “my dad was a coal miner” and “I drove an 18-wheeler” for reference).

According to Biden, he claimed in his farewell address to the Senate in 2009 that he had in fact broken into the Senate chamber and sat in the vice-president’s chair.

“I remember vividly the first time I walked in this chamber. I walked through those doors, but I walked through those doors as a 21-year-old tourist,” old Joe claimed.

“In those days, you could literally drive right up to the front steps…I drove up to the steps and there had been a rare Saturday session. It had just ended. So I walked up the steps, found myself in front of what we call the elevators, and I walked right to the Reception Room.

“There was no one there. The glass doors, those French doors that lead behind the chamber, were open. There were no signs then. I just walked,” Biden reminisced. “…I sat in the presiding officer’s chair. I was mesmerized.”

Biden then added, “And it’s literally a true story.” That’s how you know it is a complete line of BS.

There are likely dozens more examples of legislative buildings and offices being occupied by leftists which are ignored by the lamestream, Democrat boot-licking media, as well as Democrats themselves.

What happened on Jan. 6, 2021 should never have happened. But to equate it with an “insurrection” is laughable. Not one protester that we’re aware of was charged with a firearms violation.

Nobody was charged with treason, sedition, or anything close. Most were charged with the equivalent of criminal trespass.

Anyone who thinks a country with one of the most powerful militaries in the world could be overthrown led by a guy in buffalo horns is either delusional or dishonest. We’ll go with both.
