FITCHBURG, MA- Let’s see…we had three white men shot, two killed by a white 17-year-old defending his own life. Yet somehow, nuts such as Cori Bush (D-MO), Joy Reid of PMSNBC and Joy Behar of The Shrew  have made the Kyle Rittenhouse case about race. Because in 2021, everything is about race, from mathematics to Thanksgiving.

It’s sickening really.

One might have thought that once the verdict was in, the lunatic fringe would give up their gaslighting about the Kenosha incident being all about race, however since Rittenhouse was cleared on all charges, they appeared to have doubled down, continuing to play the race card in order to maintain the racial divide largely caused by their constant harping about racism.

It almost seems like they are in fact trying to incite racial discord.

Instead of trying to bring people together to have grown-up discussions over issues of race in the country, some institutions have decided the best way to deal with it is to further divide people by race.

Such is the case in Massachusetts, where a state university has decided to have students attend racially segregated “processing spaces” after Rittenhouse’s acquittal last week, according to the Washington Examiner.

In fact, the university, Fitchburg State made the false claim that the shooting of Jacob  Blake, which spurred the violent protests last year in Kenosha, Wisconsin resulted in Blake’s death, a falsehood which has been spread across media outlets and even the head of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

It doesn’t matter if you get the story right as long as you can help spread death and racial division.

That wasn’t the only thing the email from Fitchburg State to its students got wrong. They also said the weapon used by Kyle Rittenhouse was an “automatic” weapons and that the two convicted criminals killed by Rittenhouse in self-defense were protesting the “wrongful death” of Blake, who is very much still alive.

Tripling down on the misinformation, the email said that Rittenhouse had carried his AR-15 “across state lines,” another lie. In fact the weapon had been stored in a gun safe in Kenosha belonging to his friend’s father.

It’s interesting that all of a sudden liberals are concerned about borders when they have no problem with a wide open border between the U.S. and Mexico.

The email read:

The Center for Diversity and Inclusiveness is creating space for our community to process the ‘not guilty’ on all accounts [clearly the writer isn’t a genius; should have read ‘counts’] verdict in the Kenosha, Wisconsin case where Kyle Rittenhouse, an Illinois native, shot and killed two people protesting the wrongful death of Jacob Blake in 2020” [emphasis added by publisher]

The email continued listing times for separate gatherings of “students of color” and their “white student allies” in designated spaces. There were similar racially segregated spaces for faculty and staff. So apparently Fitchburg State has harkened back to the days of “blacks only” restrooms, movie theater sections and seats on buses. Yes, “progress.”

“This moment has and will undoubtedly impact many in our community, so please see these spaces as an opportunity to discuss your thoughts, emotions and reflections,” the email continued.

In 1944, 18 and 19-year-olds stormed the beaches of Normandy to fight Nazi aggression. In 2021, they need safe spaces over a justified shooting of three criminals, including a domestic abuser and child rapist.

The email gives the impression that Blake was just walking down the street when he was shot by police officers in Kenosha, however he violated a restraining order, was trying to remove a child from the scene, and pulled a knife on responding officers before he was shot.

No charges were filed against the officer who shot Blake, and the Department of Justice also cleared the officer of civil rights violations.

Perhaps whoever wrote the brain-dead email at Fitchburg State should have read a New York Times puff piece on Blake published last week, as noted in RedState:

As a jury of 12 Kenosha County residents weighed the fate of Kyle Rittenhouse, who fatally shot two men and wounded a third amid unrest last summer, Jacob Blake, the man who was partially paralyzed in the police shooting that ignited the protests, was miles away in Chicago, where he undergoes physical therapy in an effort to walk again.

Mr. Blake, 30, has set a goal of walking on his own by next summer, said his uncle, Justin Blake, who has remained on the steps outside the courthouse in Kenosha, Wis., during much of Mr. Rittenhouse’s trial.

[…]

In August 2020, Jacob Blake was training to become a mechanic and living in Kenosha when a woman with whom he had several children called 911 and said he was about to drive away in her rental car. In minutes, Kenosha police officers arrived at the woman’s home, where the authorities later said they planned to arrest Mr. Blake on an outstanding warrant for a sexual assault charge that was eventually dropped.

When Mr. Blake, who is black, appeared to try to enter the car as he held a knife in one hand, Rusten Sheskey, a white officer, shot him several times. Several of Mr. Blake’s children were in the back seat of the car. [emphasis added]

Such is how the leftist media portrays incidents, always colored by the insertion of race. Did the color of the suspect and the officers have any bearing on the incident? Only if you’re trying to foment racial strife. This is what the leftist media specializes in, painting everything with a racist brush.

The Blake shooting had nothing to do with race. Blake had a lengthy criminal history and was in possession of a deadly weapon.

The Times made sure to insert that the sexual assault charge was eventually dropped, as if to imply it was somehow an illegitimate charge and therefore the interaction between Kenosha police and Blake was somehow tainted.

All of this led to the protests in Kenosha, which some took advantage of to incite violence, which was exactly what the three men shot by Rittenhouse did. Clearly people have the right to peacefully protest, but that was not the case in Kenosha, where men such as those shot by Rittenhouse coopted those protests and turned them violent. All of that has been conveniently swept under the rug by the far-left media.

So what of Fitchburg state? They ended up issuing a retraction of sorts however did not identify which parts of the Rittenhouse shooting were factually incorrect—a diplomatic way of saying LIES.

In the haste of creating these events, some factual errors were included in the original communication,” a correction from the school read. “The intention of the communication was to inform our community as quickly as possible [like the media, get it fast, facts be damned] of the optionally available space given the holiday break. These do not change the intent of the gatherings, which is to provide a space for members of the campus community to discuss their reactions and experiences.

“We will create this space deliberately at a later time to ensure our entire community has time to process internally and is able to actively participate in the dialogue,” the email finished.

These are the people who will be running our country in 10-20 years. Our kids and grandkids are doomed.

Speaking of snowflakes, below is a prior report we filed about the National Archives in Washington, DC adding “trigger warnings” to certain exhibits. For more on that:

DIG DEEPER

The following contains editorial content which is the opinion of the author.

WASHINGTON, DC- The abject stupidity of the triggered left knows no bounds.

According to Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), the National Archives in Washington, DC has added a disclaimer to their website saying that some of our historical documents, including the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution may contain “harmful content.”

Boebert tweeted:

“The National Archives have now put a disclaimer on their website that our historical documents may include Harmful Content. They even slapped this warning on the Constitution. We tried to tell you the Left wanted to get rid of it!”

Lest you think we are making this up, the following is taken directly from the web page, in part:

The Catalog and web pages contain some content that may be harmful or difficult to view. NARA’s records span the history of the United States, and it is our charge to preserve and make available these historical records.

As a result, some of the materials presented here may reflect outdated, biased, offensive and possibly violent views and opinions. In addition, some of the materials may relate to violent or graphic events and are preserved for their historical significance.

The National Archives is committed to working with staff, communities, and peer institutions to assess and update descriptions that are harmful to establish standards and policies to prevent future harmful language in staff-generated descriptions.” [emphasis added]

Under the FAQ section on the page, it warns the following may be found:

“Some items may:

    • reflect racist, sexist, ableist, misogynistic/misogynoir, and xenophobic opinions and attitudes;
    • be discriminatory towards or exclude diverse views on sexuality, gender, religion and more;
    • include graphic content of historical events such as violent death, medical procedures, crime, wars/terrorist acts, natural disasters and more;
    • demonstrate bias and exclusion in institutional collecting and digitization policies.

The web page continues to describe all manner of explanations for the inclusion of certain terms and says that language used in some of the archived documents may “reflect biases and prejudices.” It continues that some subject headings may use terms that are “outdated, offensive, or insensitive.”

One might think that normal people, those who aren’t offended by everything such as the use of improper pronouns might have a clear understanding that the items in the National Archives are being presented in historical context. However that is apparently way too much to ask.

Former Trump Department of Homeland Security secretary Ken Cuccinelli asked in a tweet, “Are you kidding me?” in response to the information.

In June, Fox News reported that a “task force” on racism made the suggestion to place “trigger warnings” around the National Archives Rotunda building, where our founding documents are stored, and also made the absurd statement that the historical portrayal of the founding fathers has been “too positive.”

The group also proclaimed the building as an example of “structural racism.” In short, our country is f’d with numb nuts such as these running the show.

According to this group of malcontents, they claim the building credits “wealthy White men in the nation’s founding” (correct) and that certain documents on display contain “legacy descriptions that use racial slurs and harmful language to describe BIPOC communities,” as well as other offensive terms including “elderly,” “handicapped,” and “illegal alien.”

The whiners continued they wanted to add new descriptions to exhibits to “contextualize the records” and also wants notes placed to “forewarn audiences of content that may cause intense physiological and psychological symptoms.”

God forbid snowflakes might see something to get triggered over.

They are also suggesting (believe it or not) the creation of “safe spaces,” designed so anyone so triggered by the exhibits can go to and compose themselves, clearly to avoid being committed to an institution where they clearly belong.

Furthermore, the report also suggests the creation of events such as “dance or performance art in the space that invites dialogue about the ways that the United States has mythologized the founding era.” This is not from The Onion or The Babylon Bee. This is a legitimate number of suggestions.

Not happy with merely targeting the founding documents, the task force also is targeting the founding fathers, in particular Thomas Jefferson, the author of the Declaration of Independence. They are having none of the historical description of Jefferson as a “’visionary who took ‘vigorous action’ to strengthen the ‘will of the nation to expand westward.’”

Oh absolutely not, they are having none of that.

“The plan does not mention that his policy of westward expansion forced Native Americans off their ancestral land, encouraged ongoing colonial violence, and laid the groundwork for further atrocities like the Trail of Tears.”

When the report was published, critics eviscerated the far-left nuts who comprised the task force, noting it was “the radical Left’s latest attempt to sow division and rewrite our history.”

Cassie Smedile of America Rising, a conservative group said of the development:

“With Democrats controlling every level of our government, these efforts have only become more flagrant and pervasive.

“No institution, agency, or classroom is off limits,” she continued, adding “The American people deserve to be made fully aware of the radical Left’s schemes, and we’ll continue to expose them.”

This is just another development in the radical left’s attempts to rewrite American history and push their neo-Marxist critical race theory, hell bent on destroying our country and abolishing our true history.

Back in February, Law Enforcement Today reported on an Illinois congressman who proposed appropriating money to remove historical statutes and monuments. In case you missed it, we invite you to:

DIG DEEPER

WASHINGTON, DC – Illinois Democratic Representative Bobby Rush introduced a bill this month to provide $150 million to “remove and replace” Confederate monuments as American families face the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.

The “Rejecting and Eliminating the Foul Use of Symbols Exulting Confederate Principles Act,” or “REFUSE Confederate Principals Act” was introduced on February 1, which was referred to the Committee on Natural Resources.

The bill, also known as H.R. 672, would pay grants to the National Park Service for the removal of Confederate statues and symbols from public places.

The bill aims to:

“Direct the Secretary of the Interior to establish a grant program to provide funds for the removal of Confederate symbols.

The Secretary, in consultation with the Director, shall establish, within the National Park Service, a program to be known as the ‘Emancipation Historic Preservation Program’ to award grants to eligible entities.”

If passed, the bill would direct the removal of Confederate symbols and replace them with alternative monuments, memorials, statues, commemorative structures, symbols, or signage.

The bill specifically calls for alternative monuments or symbols to “commemorate or depict the freedom of enslaved African Americans.”

Removed statues and other symbols would be moved to state historic preservation programs for storage under the bill.

The bill authorizes the appropriation of $15 million federal dollars to the program every year until 2031. None of the funds provided in the bill would be permitted for use in the preservation, repair, or new construction of Confederate symbols.

The proposed bill defines a “confederate symbol” as:

“A Confederate flag or a monument, memorial, statue, memorative structure, symbol, or signage that honors a Confederate leader, Confederate soldier, the Confederate States of America, or the Confederacy in general.”

The $150 million price tag comes as the United States’ economic situation struggles through the Covid-19 pandemic, and American families struggle with high unemployment, business loss, and illness.

Unemployment is worse than that during the 2008 recession, and 4% growth in the fourth quarter following 33.4% growth in the third quarter has not been enough to offset the contraction seen in the second quarter of 2020.

The most recent gross domestic product rate was 4.0% for the fourth quarter and is slowly recovering from the worst contraction in U.S. history when the second-quarter rate was -31.4%.

Manufacturing lost 1.3 million jobs in April and is a key indicator of a recession.

Although manufacturing shows signs of a slow recovery, the improvements are nowhere near what is needed to replace the massive job losses.

The unemployment rate rested at 6.7% in December and remained unchanged from November.

The economy lost 140,000 jobs in December. Prior to December, unemployment had been rising since the crushing loss of 20.5 million jobs attributed to the pandemic in April 2020.  At that time, unemployment hit 14.7%.

Tens of millions of Americans across the country are struggling to make ends meet in a democracy decimated by the pandemic and related lockdowns and business closures.

Rep. Rush initially introduced his REFUSE bill in 2020, where it sat in committee. At the time, Rush said it was time to remove the symbols:

“It is past time that we eradicate these totems of treason and replace them with symbols that represent the true promise of America, such as the emancipation of Black Americans.

“My bill, the REFUSE Confederate Principles Act, would do just that by creating the Emancipation Historic Preservation program, which would provide grants for removing the false idols of the Confederacy and replacing them with symbols and structures that we can actually be proud of.”

Democratic U.S. Sen. Cory Booker and Sen. Mike Lee re-introduced a bill last week calling for the removal of Confederate statues from the U.S. Capitol. The bill was brought up last year and was opposed by then-Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky). Sen. McConnell said:

“What I do think is clearly a bridge too far is this nonsense that we need to airbrush the Capitol and scrub out everybody from years ago who had any connection to slavery.”

Lincoln and Roosevelt statues toppled in downtown Portland during ‘day of rage’ protest: Portland police arrest 26

October 12, 2020

PORTLAND, OR- Authorities declared a riot in downtown Portland after a large group of violent demonstrators marched through the South Park Blocks, vandalizing and toppling statues of Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt.

Rioters did not stop there as they broke windows at the Oregon Historical Society building in downtown Portland.

According to reports, protesters met under the Burnside Bridge and marched to the South Park Blocks for what they declared an “Indigenous Peoples Day of Rage.”

Allegedly, there were social media posts calling for an “end” of colonialism and for the abolishment of the police. Just before 9 p.m., on Sunday, October 11th, police tweeted that a “mass gathering” had formed at Southwest Park Avenue and Southwest Madison Street.

https://twitter.com/KittyLists/status/1315519758725378048

Police reported that the protesters were trying to pull down a statue with a chain.

Authorities warned the protesters that anyone involved in criminal behavior, including vandalism, was subject to arrest. The Oregonian reported that the organizers of the violent protest signaled their aggressive stance for the night calling for “direct action”.

In addition, the organizers demanded that the video live-streamers and photographers who have become staples of such events to stay away. People in the crowd were repeatedly told not to film. Individuals who passed by the destruction were ordered by demonstrators to stop filming or delete photographs.

The demonstrators were extremely violent towards those who were caught filming. In fact, an apartment resident had lasers shined at his eyes and a liquid thrown in his face when they saw him shooting a video of the scene from his terrace.

After downing the statues of Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln, members in the crowd began smashing windows of local buildings.

The group hung a banner that said, “Stop honoring racist colonizer murders.” A mural on the Sovereign Hotel building depicting the Lewis & Clark expedition was splattered with red paint.

Video from the toppled statues show that they had been vandalized with the words “Stolen Land” and “Murderer” spray-painted at their bases.

At 9:40 p.m., police declared a riot after getting additional reports of damage. They told the crowd to disperse immediately.

The group, nearly 200 strong, marched through downtown Portland, at one point occupying all four lanes of West Burnside Street. Most of the demonstrators were dressed in all black, from head-to-toe. Many wore body armor, carried shields, and wielded night sticks or other weapons.

Authorities reported that 26 people were arrested by Portland police officers after protesters gathered outside the bureau’s North Precinct and blocked streets into the late hours on Saturday night. On that night, October 10th, the North Precinct was targeted again by violent protesters.

It has been targeted numerous times over the past 130-plus nights by violent protests, including some that devolved into riots, arson fires, and violent attacks on officers. The Portland Police Bureau (PPB) had been informed that the gathering on Saturday, October 10th as well as Sunday, October 11th were “direct action” events.

There were multiple warnings broadcast over loudspeaker and social media by the PPB:

“To those who gathered near North Precinct, NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd is open to vehicular traffic. Immediately vacate the roadway and proceed to the sidewalk. Additionally, do not participate in criminal activity. Those who do not move off NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd will be subject to citation, arrest, or force.”

“If you remain in the roadway and show the intent to engage in physical resistance to removal, of if emergency circumstances require, you may be subject to the use of crowd control agents, including, but not limited to tear gas and impact weapons. Move to the sidewalk now.”

According to PPB, 26 people were arrested with charges including interfering with a peace officer, disorderly conduct in the second degree, resisting arrest, and carrying a concealed weapon.

Editor note: In 2020, we saw a nationwide push to “defund the police”.  While we all stood here shaking our heads wondering if these people were serious… they cut billions of dollars in funding for police officers.  And as a result, crime has skyrocketed – all while the same politicians who said “you don’t need guns, the government will protect you” continued their attacks on both our police officers and our Second Amendment rights.

And that’s exactly why we’re launching this national crowdfunding campaign as part of our efforts to help “re-fund the police”.
