It’s been almost 3 months since the January 6th melee, where an unarmed Trump supporter by the name of Ashli Babbit was shot and killed, and we still don’t know who pulled the trigger.
Even with all the focus on the Capitol event by the media, Dems, and officials, we still know absolutely nothing about Ashli’s death.
Why was she shot, and who shot her? These are standard questions that everyone asks when something like this happens, and unless it’s a complete mystery, or a coverup, those questions get answered.
Babbit’s murder can’t possibly be a “whodunit” mystery – she was killed in a public space, and most everyone would have had a cell phone recording the events – not to mention, slews of witnesses and Capitol police on hand.
So, what on earth is the holdup? Is it a coverup?
That’s exactly the question former CBS reporter Sharyl Attkinsson has – and after three long and absurd months, she’s demanding the name of the person who shot Ashli Babbit.
And not just that, Sharyl also points out that in all her years as a reporter she’s never seen a name kept secret like this.
What is really going on at the Capitol?
Journalist Sharyl Attkisson is still trying to get an answer regarding who shot and killed protester Ashli Babbitt during the Capitol riot on January 6 and why the officer’s name is being kept secret.
The Capitol Police officer who killed Babbitt has not faced any charges for doing so. Rumors are still swirling that the officer is in hiding because he fears for his life but there has been no credible evidence to support those claims or actions.
Babbitt was an unarmed woman who was shot and killed while attempting to climb through an interior door of the U.S. Capitol during a protest alleging election fraud following a Trump rally in D.C. She was a 14-year veteran and served four tours with the U.S. Air Force.
Here’s what Sharyl said: “Who killed Ashli Babbitt and why is the name being kept secret? I’ve never covered a case where a shooter’s name has been kept secret for any reason in all my years as a reporter. It’s considered public record; at least until now.”

What’s interesting here, is that Ms. Attkinsson got a reply to her tweet from “Independent” White House reporter Andrew Feinberg, who said, “Capitol Police have very few public records obligations.”
Wow. Must be nice – no “obligations.” How convenient.
Sharyl responded back with this: “Interesting; so do they have exceptions/exemptions to the normal practices and expectations? And do you know anybody trying to reveal this information that’s in the public interest?”
As of now, she has not gotten a response back.
But isn’t that the way?
The feds pick and choose what stories they will highlight and for what reasons. Anything else that doesn’t fit with a certain narrative is swept under the rug and we’re told to bugger off because they have no official “obligation” to tell us.
And they wonder why Americans are suspicious of the government and sit around concocting so-called “conspiring theories.”
Why wouldn’t they? At every turn, the government goes out of its way to leave everyone guessing.
